Pilot muon tomography system set up at Bristol University

A pilot muon tomography system for conditioned radioactive waste drum charachterisation has been set up and is now working at Bristol University (UK). The new system uses both Resistive Plate Chambers and Drift Chambers to track muon particles travelling through the waste. The first data from this system are now taken and analysed by the respective project teams.
